In 10, 3-hour sessions the student will complete their 30-hour classroom education requirement to receive their license. Students may begin their classroom sessions before obtaining their Maryland learner’s permit.
Each session covers a curriculum unit designed by the Maryland Department of Transportation:
- Unit 1: Orientation to Driver Education
- Unit 2: Signs, Signals, and Pavement Markings
- Unit 3: Getting Started
- Unit 4: Breaking Away
- Unit 5: Driving in Neighborhoods
- Unit 6: Urban, Suburban, and Rural Roads
- Unit 7: Driving on Expressways
- Unit 8: Crash! Bang! Boom!
- Unit 9: Making Good Decisions
- Final Exam
Sessions include lectures, discussions, videos, and knowledge quizzes. Students will be able to take their quizzes and final exam online and receive immediate feedback.
